I was just going through my closet looking for things to take to the tailor and I found a pair of shoes I haven't worn in two years. Not only have I not worn them in two years but I've only worn them once. I bought them in Miami and they were $750-ish dollars. BTW, South Beach is my favorite place on the planet. They're from a designer with a boutique on Collins in the heart of South Beach (I won't call out the designer here). Every time I see them I get as frustrated and angry as when I first realized they were destroyed. I will disclose that I was not sitting quietly in the shoes all night. We walked several blocks to dinner (SB is a walking town) and then we had drinks a few more blocks away and then we went dancing. So, I was not easy on the shoes but I'm not one to base my activities on keeping my shoes in pristine condition. Not only did the shoes lose tons of stones but BOTH heel caps came off and the outsoles were like glass. Take a look at the pictures...
